Plan CMMS Integrations for Your Plant
Integration fit depends on your systems, versions, network controls, and required data flows. Use this checklist to define what a technical evaluation should verify before committing to a rollout.
ERP and SAP
List the SAP or ERP version, modules, objects, and business owners involved. Agree which system owns assets, work orders, parts, purchasing, and completion status.
Plant data and telemetry
Document the source systems, protocols, tag names, update frequency, network boundaries, and intended maintenance use. Confirm whether a connection is available for your environment.
Maintenance records and files
Identify the asset, work-order, preventive-maintenance, and parts records to prepare. Test a representative sample and reconcile the imported data before expanding.
Notifications and business tools
Define the events, recipients, permissions, delivery channels, and any third-party costs. Test delivery and ownership using a limited pilot group.
Questions to resolve during evaluation
- Which system is the source of truth for each record and field?
- Is data exchanged one way or both ways, and how are conflicts handled?
- Which connection method, authentication, hosting, and network approvals are required?
- What monitoring, error handling, support, implementation effort, and ongoing cost are included?
Confirm compatibility and delivery scope in writing for the proposed PredictAint workspace and your specific systems; do not assume a listed protocol or product name means a ready-made connector is available.
