Confirm availability before a shift
Verify that offline functionality is enabled for the device, app version and workflow in use. Open the assigned records while connected and check that the required instructions are available. Do not assume attachments, permissions or every function remain available offline.
Keep a reliable record
Use the approved device and record observations with the correct asset and time. Follow the site contingency process if a safety-critical instruction or permit is unavailable. Avoid reinstalling the app or clearing storage while unsynchronized records may remain on the device.
Reconnect and reconcile
Reconnect using an approved network. Check synchronization status, then compare the updated central work order with the device record. Verify attachments, readings, labor and completion status. Resolve duplicate or conflicting changes with the responsible supervisor.
Escalate without losing evidence
Note the device and app version, last successful sync, approximate time and affected work order IDs. Capture a redacted error message. Contact support before taking destructive troubleshooting steps.
